KINGSPORT, LONESOME PINE ANNOUNCE “INDEPENDENCE CLASH”

KINGSPORT, Tenn. (June 9, 2014) – Officials at Kingsport
Speedway and Lonesome Pine Raceway have announced the Independence Clash, a
two-day event held between the two NASCAR-sanctioned tracks on July 4th
Both venues will hold a 125-lap, $2,000-to-win Late Model
Stock Car race presented by Freedom Ford of Wise, VA and WQUT. The Clash will
begin Friday night, July 4th at Kingsport Speedway and then head to
Lonesome Pine Raceway on Saturday, July 5th.
Friday night’s race at Kingsport will also feature the Street
Stock, Pure-4, Mod-4 and Rookie Pure-4 divisions. Grandstands will open at 5:30
p.m., with racing beginning at 8 p.m.
Saturday’s race at Lonesome Pine will see racing in Street
Stock, Mod-4, Pure-4, Rookie Pure-4, Pure Street and Iron Warrior divisions. Grandstands will open at 4 p.m., with racing scheduled at 7 p.m.
Autograph sessions are scheduled for both Friday and
Saturday, along with multiple kids club activities and giveaways
including a gas grill.
